Building Custom Homes in Knoxville since 1974

The Enger Family
Precision Builders was founded on January 1, 1974 by Gordon Enger. Since then Precision Builders has built eight subdivisions and constructed nearly 1,000 individual homes. Precision Builders has built homes in Knox, Loudon, Blount, Anderson, and Campbell Counties.

Gordon’s younger son, Eric, joined the family business in 1991 and works as the daily on-site supervisor of all subcontractors. He is the interface between the homebuyer, the suppliers, and the subcontractors to make sure there is an easy flow of information and ideas making for a smooth building process.

Gordon’s older son, Doug, began his career with Precision Builders in 1988 and served in various capacities for 12 years before moving on to other opportunities. He rejoined the company in 2014 and will be heading up the renovation/remodeling division. Doug has been in the building business full time since 1988 and has the understanding and expertise to make your renovation project a success.
